Tijdloze leegten (Timeless Voids) is about an undiscovered world where time dissolves and loses all meaning. In this vast and unpredictable environment, dominated by endless wind and ever-shifting storms, humanity finds no stable ground, no structure to hold on to. It is a place outside the known rhythm of life, where everything drifts between creation and decay. The landscape becomes a metaphor for the fragility of existence and for our desire to understand what cannot be contained.
To express this idea, I used the experimental photographic technique of chemigrams, in which photochemicals are applied directly onto light-sensitive paper to create images without a camera. This process allows the elements themselves—light, chemistry, and chance—to become part of the artwork. I worked with aged photographic papers, their surfaces already bearing traces of time, and combined them with tea as a coloring medium, blending organic and chemical reactions. Through this dialogue between control and unpredictability, I sought to capture something fleeting—an image of the elusive, where presence and disappearance coexist.
