As a teenager, I developed a fear of the sea. I didn't dare to swim anymore, and at one point I found life underwater so scary that I didn't dare to watch those kinds of movie scenes.

In 2017, I dared to swim again, although I still found it stressful. I still didn't seem to succeed in watching movie scenes filmed underwater. Since I did have an interest in documentaries about the ice caps, I made this videowork to still be able to watch this kind of footage.
